Sarah graduated from St. Olaf College in 2017 with a major in English and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She worked as a writing tutor and went on to serve as interim director of the college’s writing center after graduation. Inclusive and intersectional tutoring taught Sarah that telling our own stories — and listening to others’ stories — can become acts of empowerment and a starting point for equity work.
Fueled by this passion for facilitating the storytelling process, Sarah started her career in nonprofit communications and soon found her way to Reviving Sisterhood. She spent a summer writing for the Muslim Sheroes of Minnesota storytelling project, centering the lived experiences and the diverse accomplishments of six changemakers. As Communications Manager, Sarah supports the organization through listening, telling stories, and enriching our communities’ connections to the mission and the work of Reviving Sisterhood.
