Muslim & Jewish Women's Day at the Capitol

You're invited to join the resistance — led by your Muslim and Jewish sisters in Minnesota. As historically marginalized people of faith, we must stand together to make Minnesota more equitable for everyone.

On January 16th, 2019 at 10am, Reviving Sisterhood and National Council of Jewish Women - Minnesota (NCJW-MN) will be gathering at the Capitol Rotunda to rally, pray and build power. Then, we get to work by talking to our legislators on issues of menstrual equity, teacher diversity, and sexual violence. Lunch and training will be provided. This space is for Muslim and Jewish and women, though allies are welcome to rally with us.

PowerTalk: Who Cares about Political and Civic Engagement

Please join Reviving Sisterhood in partnership with Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL) for a community event to discuss the importance of political and civic engagement. Minnesota has one of the highest voter turnout rate at 74%, compared to the national rate of 59%. Beyond voting, we need to be more informed about the issues, the candidates and pay greater attention to policies that impact us. Come share your ideas on how to be more engaged and what is at stake for you.

Not All Sheroes Wear Capes

Not All Sheroes Wear Capes, the Sisterhood’s very first fundraiser, opened with an hour of casual socializing as attendees arrived, sipped piña colada and berry flavored mocktails, and snacked on savory samosas. The reception area at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation was transformed from a center of logistical chaos to a happy hub of reunions and introductions. For the first time in the organization’s history, our Sheroes, friends, allies, nonprofit partners, donors, and grantmakers gathered to celebrate our Muslim sisters together.
