Growing up in Chicago, Danyal Masoud wished she'd had a mentor to guide her through the complexities of being a Muslim teenager in America. So she co-founded Pearls of Hope MN in the basement of a local mosque as a way to offer guidance to young men and women. Now serving more than 200 youth, the program gives them a safe space to thrive spiritually, personally and academically.

Danyal is next in the series of the #MuslimSheroesMN that Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment is profiling in partnership with TPT - Twin Cities PBS with producer Ariel Tilson and funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota

Muslim Sheroes of Minnesota-profiles amplifying girls & women in our community who aren't waiting for permission to change the world. A "Shero" is a female trailblazer who is creating change in her community.
