Tuere works at Koch Trucking as a Document Specialist. She graduated from Minneapolis Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice and has plans to pursue her Bachelor’s degree. Her passion lies in helping people in every way that she is able. She is a volunteer at Masjid An-Nur in Minneapolis and Masjid Nimut ul Islam, cooking and serving at the foodshelf. She also volunteer teaches at Pearls of Hope, a nonprofit focused on the well-being, education, and activism of young girls in the Twin Cities. She has been an active participant at workshops and networkers Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment (RISE) has hosted. Moved by the beauty and resilience of all the women she networked with, her passion in making a difference in the community was awakened. She is the mother of three children and grandmother of two.
